Fleet shortcuts seems to be designed for US keyboard layout

Hi,

There are a lot of weird and impossible keyboard shortcuts for those that do not have a US keyboard layout. Example opening the terminal is ctrl+shift+´ which is not possible to do.

It would be good if Fleet could have shortcuts that work on all keyboard layouts, or that it can be configured what layout you use.

Hello,

You may try choosing another keymap in the settings or
you may also add the custom shortcut to the action by calling "Edit keymap..." action.

Hi Olga,

Yes, that's what I've tried, unfortunately the keyboard shortcuts for built-in things like UI stuff (e.g. toggle the terminal) doesn't seem to change when changing keymaps.

As for adding custom shortcuts, that's precisely what I've been forced to do. But doing that for every thing is very tedious. The toggle terminal is just one example, there are multiple things that makes use of US layout specific shortcuts unfortunately. Other examples:

Back: Cmd+[ (in order to get the [, you need to hold option+8 on non-US layouts, this obviously makes the shortcut unusable since option needs to be pressed, therefore not matching the original shortcut)

Forward: Cmd+] (same issue here)

Terminal New Window: Ctrl+Shift+` (in order to get `, you need to hold shift, thereby not matching original shortcut)

I can go on and on. I can of course change all of these to whatever I want, but the out of box experience should at least work, no?

This makes the experience for non-US people extremely bad out of the box as none of the usual IDE shortcuts will work.
