Is there a way to view the file directory ("Files" in the sidebar) as a popup?

Is there a way to view all the file directory ("Files" in the sidebar) in a popup, similar to what `CMD+p` does?
In general, I prefer viewing stuff like this in popups/dialogs as opening and closing the sidebar shifts all the content around which is disorienting.
